This took the better part of three weeks to complete, and it has claimed the lives of many a good pen.

Eichsil is the combination of a human and a Brown Trout.

Eichsil began as a lot of trout anatomy research, as I was trying to make him fishy but not completely covering the fact that he was also quite human. I began with the skeleton, which began with him having a fish tail and no arms, but I nixed that idea, thinking he looked just like a fish.
So I gave him arms, but he has problems with them. his collarbone is virtually nonexistent and his body's pretty flat, so he can be a bit useless with his arms sometimes. After adding the final touches on the skeleton, I sketched a few muscles over him, and then added skin. I used pencil to get an idea of where I wanted the light to hit and how he should look when colored, while still being able to see underneath to the skeleton. After that, I moved on to color, and you have basically what you see here, a finished Eichsil.
